From a murder mystery dinner to a fancy dress party, we have put together a round-up of unmissable events happening in Burnham and the Dengie this weekend.

1. Visit Burnham's best horror house Halloween display

Members of the Joyce family are once again holding a spectacular Halloween display outside their house on Eastern Road this Friday (29 October).

The impressive display - which includes killer clowns and animatronic witches - is in aid of Essex and Herts Air Ambulance, so you can get into the spooky spirit while raising money for this vital service.

The display will take place from 4pm to 9pm.

2. Solve a Halloween-themed murder

Have you got an appetite for murder?

Come down to Bistro on the Quay, in Burnham, for a murder mystery dinner!

You will watch and interrogate six actors while enjoying a three-course dinner this Saturday (30 October).

Fancy dress is optional, and there will be a prize for the best dressed.

Tickets cost £25 per person, which you can book by calling 01621 781100.

The Bistro will open to guests at 7pm for a 7.30pm start.

3. Discover the haunted history of Creeksea Place

Enjoy a Halloween twist to the classic history tour of Creeksea Place Manor, on Ferry Road in Burnham, this Saturday (30 October).

Not only will you learn some fascinating facts about the history of Creeksea Place, you will also enjoy a champagne cocktail and take home a box of Halloween treats.

The tour will be held from 12pm to 1pm.

4. Dress up in your best fancy dress for a party at the Victoria Inn

Think spooky pirate, shipwrecked mermaid or dead of the sea - this unmissable fancy dress party at the Victoria Inn has a special ghost ship theme this Halloween.

Simply head down to the pub, on Belvedere Road in Burnham, at 7pm to enjoy the party.

There will be prizes for the best fancy dress, including £100 for the winner.

Free wristbands are required for entry, which you can get from the bar.
