A restaurant in Burnham-on-Crouch has unveiled some exciting changes to update what it offers to customers.

The Swallowtail Restaurant and Bar, owned by Burnham Yacht Harbour, would like to welcome Joshua Woods, their new restaurant manager, who started on 29 September.

Jonathan Beale, assistant manager of Burnham Yacht Harbour, said: "Josh is a chef by trade and he has compiled a new refreshed menu which is now on our Facebook page."

Josh, who lives in Southend and has recently welcomed a new baby into his family, initially worked for the restaurant a couple of years ago on a temporary basis as an assistant manager.

Alongside the exciting new winter menu that he has created, the restaurant is also undergoing some external changes to refresh its look for customers.

Jonathan said: "We're renovating the front of the restaurant - we had someone in to strip off the old paint to give it a bit of a new look."

The restaurant is open five days a week during winter from Wednesdays to Sundays, and will return to opening seven days a week in spring and summer.

Josh is also planning on organising some exciting events at the restaurant as well as holding a celebration over the New Year.

"Everything will be updated on the website when things have been decided," Jonathan said.

You can find the restaurant at Burnham Yacht Harbour on Foundry Lane in Burnham-on-Crouch.
