1. Celebrate the beginning of the festive season on the Quay

The eagerly-awaited Christmas on the Quay day takes place this Saturday (27 November) in Burnham-on-Crouch.

The community event, organised by staff at Bistro on the Quay, kicks off at 12pm with a hog and turkey roast.

It is set to be filled with entertainment, food, drink and festive shopping.

Santa will arrive at 2pm, the first singer is set to perform at 4pm and reindeer will be at the event from 5pm.

The choir of Burnham-on-Crouch Primary School will perform at 6pm, while the Christmas lights switch on will take place at 7pm.

The festivities will continue until 10pm.

The Giving Tree for children at the Phoenix Ward at Broomfield Hospital will also be unveiled on the day - find out more here.

2. Get ahead on your festive shopping at a Dengie Christmas fair

There will be stalls galore and plenty of good cheer at the Bradwell-on-Sea Christmas Fair this Saturday (27 November).

Head to the Bradwell-on-Sea Village Hall, at 5 South Street, to enjoy an afternoon of Christmas carols, mulled wine, mince pies, local pottery and much more.

3. Enjoy an evening of acoustic music at the Queen's Inn

The Queen's Head, in Burnham-on-Crouch, has just been named one of the best pubs in the UK, according to the CAMRA Good Beer Guide 2022.

If this is not reason enough to visit the pub, then make sure to head down on Sunday (28 November), when local artist Dan Frazer will be treating residents to an evening of acoustic music.

You can find the pub at 26 Providence in Burnham-on-Crouch.

The music will start at 4pm.
