Man in court charged over sexual assault on Maldon High Street

A man has appeared in court charged in connection with an incident where a teenage girl was sexually assaulted.
Essex Police were called to reports that a 13 year-old girl had been approached and touched by a man on Maldon High Street shortly before 5pm on 13 June 2020.
The girl managed to get herself to safety.
Pedro Sarracayo, 60, of Washington Close, Maldon was arrested and later charged with sexual assault.
He appeared at Chelmsford Magistrates' Court on 18 August and is next due to appear at Chelmsford Crown Court on 15 September.
