Residents, families, and motoring enthusiasts from across the Maldon District and elsewhere turned out to enjoy the Museum of Power's Transportfest event on Easter Sunday (April 9).
Held annually, this year's event was a celebration of transport 'through the ages'. From military vehicles to luxury sports cars - and everything in between – Transportfest had something for everyone.
For the little ones, there were amusements such as bungee trampolines and a car carousel – along with the ever-popular miniature railway.
Debbie Thomas, Manager at the Museum, told Nub News the event took a whole year of planning.
She said: "We've got to organise stallholders and exhibitors – to make sure we provide a really good day for our visitors."
Debbie took over as Manager in 2015, and has helped to grow the museum's popularity.
She continued: "When I started, we had approximately six or seven thousand people visiting the museum each year.
"This year, we'll hopefully have about 13,000 people visiting."
Debbie added that Assistant Museum Manager James Gulleford had played "an integral role" in helping to organise the event.
The museum was recently awarded a £1.9 million grant from the National Lottery, which volunteers will put towards expanding the museum's collection.
On Friday 21 April, the Museum of Power will host a Murder Mystery Evening. For more information, visit the Nub News What's On section.
