Elderly woman fighting for her life following South Woodham motorcycle collision

Essex Police is appealing for information after an elderly couple was seriously injured in a motorbike collision in South Woodham Ferrers on Saturday (September 2).

A black and gold Vincent Blackshadow motorbike was involved in a collision on Woodham Road at around 1pm.

The rider, a man in his seventies, sustained a serious injury. The pillion passenger, a woman in her eighties, sustained life-threatening injuries.

They are both currently in hospital.

A spokesperson for Essex Police said: "If you have any information, CCTV, dash cam or other footage in relation to that incident, then please get in contact with us. Please quote incident 630 of 2 September.

"You can let us know by submitting a report on our website or by using our online Live Chat service available Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays) between 10am and 9pm."

"Alternatively, you can call us on 101."
