Maldon's Covid vaccination hub ramps up operation to help combat the threat posed by Omicron

MALDON'S Covid-19 vaccination hub has this evening (Monday,13 December) announced 12-hour walk-in clinics for the rest of this week as the drive to get the country boosted by the end of the year gets under way.
Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced yesterday evening that all adults aged 18 and over are to be offered the Covid-19 booster shot 91 days after their second jab - and where possible before the end of 2021.
Announcing this week's schedule of walk-in clinics at the vaccination hub based at Maldon District Council's offices in Princes Road, Maldon, a spokesperson for Longfields Medical Centre, which manages the hub, said: "With such an unbelievable challenge laying ahead of us after the announcement that all adults aged 18 and over must have their booster vaccine 91 days after the second dose and before the end of the 2021, please see information relating to this weeks vaccine clinics.
"All clinics are walk-in so there will be queues - please be kind, be accepting, please be patient."
The clinics are for the following:
- Anyone aged 12 and over for first doses- Anyone aged 16 and over second dose 8 weeks after first dose
- Anyone aged 18 and over, booster 91 days after second dose. The days and hours of the clinics this week are as follows:- Tuesday: 08.00 - 20.00 (lunch 13.00 - 13.30)
- Wednesday: 08.00 - 20.00 (lunch 13.00 - 13.30)- Thursday: 08.00 - 20.00 (lunch 13.00 - 13.30)
- Friday: 08.00 - 20.00 (lunch 13.00 - 13.30)- Saturday: 08.00 - 20.00 (lunch 13.00 - 13.30)
- Sunday: 08.00 - 20.00 (lunch 13.00 - 13.30) More appointments for the Maldon hub will be added to the National Booking System tomorrow morning for Saturday and Sunday's clinics so please do book if you can using the link here.
