A Halloween raffle at a charity shop in Burnham-on-Crouch will raise more money for the air ambulance service this year, thanks to a generous donation from a customer.
The Essex and Herts Air Ambulance Charity Shop, at 50 Station Road, is holding the raffle after one of its customers donated a huge homegrown pumpkin to the store.
The lucky raffle winner will be able to take the giant pumpkin home just in time for Halloween.
Raffle tickets cost £1 each and can be bought at the shop, which has been dressed in spooky decorations by staff in the run-up to Halloween.
Staff will draw the name of the winner on Wednesday 27 October.
All proceeds will go to the Essex and Herts Air Ambulance Service.
The ambulance service is also being supported by residents in another creative way this year, with the Joyce family's horror house Halloween display.
Shay and Maxine Joyce will give the donations they receive from visitors to their display, at their home on Eastern Road, to the ambulance service to help fund its life-saving work across the county.
Shay said: "Donations will be very gratefully received, no matter how big or small - it all massively helps."
For more information about the display, you can visit its Facebook page via the link here.
