Council appeals for help to find the fly-tipping culprits

Maldon District Council has launched an appeal for help to find fly tippers who dumped a huge quantity of rubbish in Tinkers Hole Road, Burnham-on-Crouch.

The extensive area of refuse in black plastic sacks was discovered this morning (Thursday, 8 April) and the scene attended by the council's Community Engagement Team and police officers. Contractors Appleton have now cleared the unsightly nuisance away.

In a Twitter post this afternoon, the authority said:

"Officers assisted by colleagues from Appleton Recycling are dealing with this #FlyTipping incident in Tinkers Hole Road.

"If you have any information about this, please let us know."
