Cafe 1989 & Hyside Motorcycles' Annual Summer BBQ at Unit 9, Wycke Hill Business Park, Maldon: Sunday August 21 at 11am

  • The team at Hyside motorcycles & Cafe 1989 are hosting their annual summer barbeque and hope to see many of their regular customers.
  • They are "so excited to meet all-new customers" too.
  • There will be many bikes to browse, along with plenty of inside and outside seating.

Jamie Williams & The Roots Collective at The Sunny Sailor, Maldon: Saturday from 8.30pm

  • The Americana, blues, country, and rock band, Jamie Williams & the Roots Collective, will be performing at the pub in Fullbridge, Maldon.
  • They've shared line-ups with artists including Wilko Johnson, The Blockheads, The Darkness, The Pretty Things, Dr Feelgood, the Yardbirds, Eddi Reeder and The Animals.

Free Bowls Sessions at Maldon Promenade Park: Saturday-Sunday 20-21 August, 9am to 1pm

  • As part of the legacy surrounding the Commonwealth Games and in partnership with Bowls England and Disability Bowls England, Promenade Park aims to give more people the opportunity to try bowls.
  • It is a sport that people of all ages and abilities can actively enjoy recreationally through to elite competition all year round.
  • Commonwealth Games Bowls Community Activators will be delivering these fun, informal and inclusive sessions.
