Thursday 20 April

Maldon Drama Group presents 'Steaming' by Nell Dunn at Maldon Town Hall - from 7pm

Five very different women regularly enjoy a 'steam up' at the Trigate Road communal baths - under the watchful eye of Violet, who runs the place - in Maldon Drama Group's latest production.

Following its award-winning production of 'Ladykillers', Maldon Drama Group will perform Nell Dunn's 'Steaming' at the Town Hall on April 20, 21 and 22.

Ticket prices range from £10 (for the stalls) to £12 (for the balcony) and are available to purchase via Maldon Drama Group's Ticketsource website.

Doors open at 7pm, and there will be a licensed bar. Contains some strong language and sexual themes.

Friday 21 April

Intro to Jump Rope for Adults at Blackwater Leisure Centre, Maldon - from 6pm

Learn all the skills you need to get started on your jump rope journey. Get fit, learn new skills, improve coordination and, above all, have fun!

Five sessions for £50 - starting this Friday. Booking is essential.

Every new member will receive a free beaded rope from Jump Rope Coach Chris, worth £20.

Sherlock Holmes Murder Mystery Evening at The Museum of Power, Langford - from 6.30pm

An evening of great fun and experience for all ages, combining good food with a dramatic crime scene and a clue solving game.

You can enjoy this special evening with your friends or family without the headache of having to organise it yourself.

Enjoy a three-course dinner and arrivals drinks - period dress welcome.

Bar available. Tickets cost £42 per person - to be purchased in advance.

St. George's Day Event at St Andrew's Church, Althorne - from 2pm

Open from 10.30am until 4pm, enjoy free entry to this popular food and drink event.

The Maldon Vegan Market brings together a huge variety of vegan street food vendors, artisan bakers, craft brewers, ethical jewellers, sustainable chandlers, local artists, zero-waste champions, environmental charities and loads more.

In Cold Blood by Truman Capote at the Power of Literature Book Club, Museum of Power, Langford.

An introduction of key themes and social relevance of the book. The Museum now has its own regular book club talks, with Joan Binder and other guest speakers joining us to took at a wide range of books and provide entertaining and interesting talks.

From 10.30am until 12.30pm in the Steam Cafe, Museum of Power. Plenty of free parking is available.

Price is £5 per person, per session. Includes a cup of tea/coffee and a slice of cake served from 10.15am.
