'A Bit of a Do' at Althorne Church Hall, from 11am

Enjoy activities, Easter gifts, refreshments and more at St Andrew's Church, Althorne, on Saturday 25 March.

Enjoy activities, Easter gifts, refreshments and more at St Andrew's Church, Althorne, in aid of two worthy causes.

Proceeds will go to the St Andrew's Church Repair Fund and to St Clare's Hospice.

Men2Sing Choir concert at Burnham United Reformed Church, from 7.30pm

Join South Woodham Ferrers-based male voice choir Men2Sing for a concert at the United Reformed Church, Burnham on Crouch, this Saturday (March 25).

The concert starts at 7.30pm. Men2Sing performs songs from the biggest names in pop, jazz, musicals, and classical to give depth and vibrancy to their concerts.

Tickets cost £10, including refreshments.

The Orbison Project at Maldon Town Hall, from 7.30pm

The Orbison Project is a six-piece tribute band, celebrating the memorable and distinctive music of legendary singer-songwriter Roy Orbison.

The band, all highly accomplished musicians, is fronted by talented British lead vocalist Dave Collison, an impressively-accurate and authentic Orbison 'soundalike' and 'lookalike' tribute artist.

Before bringing the band together, Dave gained over 25 years of valuable experience performing as a solo Roy tribute, entertaining audiences across the UK with his renditions of Orbison's greatest hits.

Farmers Market at The Bell Inn, Tolleshunt Major, 9am to 1pm

Homemade, handmade and home-grown produce, with a chance to meet the people behind it.

  • Come along to buy dinner and enjoy breakfast from the BBQ Shack with a hot cup of Tea or Coffee.
  • Bacon rolls and tea will be available from 9am until 11am, and the pub opens at 11am.

The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald at the Power of Literature Book Club, Museum of Power, Langford.

An introduction of key themes and social relevance of the book. The Museum now has its own regular book club talks, with Joan Binder and other guest speakers joining us to took at a wide range of books and provide entertaining and interesting talks.

From 10.30am until 12.30pm in the Steam Cafe, Museum of Power. Plenty of free parking is available.

Price is £5 per person, per session. Includes a cup of tea/coffee and a slice of cake served from 10.15 am.
