Farleigh Hospice's Walk for Life 2023

Walk for Life 2023 will see hundreds of people walk to Chelmsford from Paper Mill Lock or Heybridge Basin.

Join the Walk for Life, a charity fundraising event, this Sunday (May 14) in aid of Farleigh Hospice.

Choose between two scenic routes, taking in the peaceful towpaths of the Chelmer and Blackwater Navigation:

  • 12km - a ramble from Paper Mill Lock
  • 24km - a more demanding route from Heybridge Basin

Six colleagues from kitchen supplier Howdens in Maldon will take on the challenge, hiking 24 kilometres (14.9 miles) from Heybridge Basin to Chelmsford. Between them, the 'Howdens Hikers' hope to raise £1,000 for charity.

Tickets bought on the day cost £25 for adults and £10 for children under 16.
