Thursday 2 March
The Story behind Maldon's Combined Military Services Museum at the Swan Hotel, Maldon, from 6.30pm
Julie Miller, Curator at Maldon's Combined Military Services Museum, will discuss the history of the museum - from founder Richard Wooldridge's childhood fascination with militaria, to the world class collection held at the museum today.
Everyone is welcome to come along to the Maldon Society's monthly talks, held in the Cygnet Room behind the Swan Hotel, High Street, Maldon.
The doors will open at 6.30pm, giving everyone a chance to look at the latest local planning applications, and to chat to committee members and friends. Drinks can be enjoyed while listening to the talk.

Tapas Night at The Bell Inn, Tolleshunt Major, from 5pm

Warhammer 40,000 Beginners Night at Funky Shack, Madison Heights, Maldon, 6pm to 8.30pm
A beginners' Warhammer session held at Funky Shack, a collectibles shop at Madison Heights.

- Entry costs £5 per person.
March Carnival CASH Bingo Night at Plantation Hall, Heybridge, from 7.30pm
All money raised will go to fund this year's Maldon Carnival.
You will receive:
- Entry and eight Game Bingo Books (two prizes per game)

Doors open at 7.30pm, and the first game starts at 8pm. Spectators must pay £2. Refreshments are available.
Saturday 4 March
Wedding Open Day at Forrester Park Golf & Country Club, Great Totham, from 10am to 4pm
See this beautiful venue dressed for a wedding, and meet some of our events staff to discuss your dream day.
Special offers will be available on the day for a few remaining dates this year including Saturday 19 August 2023.
Forrester Park can tailor your day to suit you, whether a full day wedding with a wedding banquet or a more informal twilight celebration.

Sunday 5 March
Maldon Antiques, Vintage & Collectors Fair at Blackwater Leisure Centre, from 9.30am to 3pm
Dealers and collectors from around the region will be selling a huge range of items at the Blackwater Leisure Centre.
Admission costs £2. Accompanied under-14s qualify for free entry.
Friary Walled Garden Open Day at White Horse Lane, Maldon, from 10am to 3pm
With all the spring bulbs in flower it is a lovely time to visit Maldon's secret garden! Entry is free.
The garden opens to the public on the first Sunday of each month (weather permitting) follow Maldon & Heybridge Horticultural Society on Facebook for updates.
Monday 6 March
'To Kill A Mockingbird' by Harper Lee at the Power of Literature Book Club, Museum of Power, Langford, from 10.30am
An introduction of key themes and social relevance of the book.
From 10.30am until 12.30pm in the Steam Cafe, Museum of Power. Plenty of free parking is available.
Price is £5 per person, per session. Includes a cup of tea/coffee and a slice of cake served from 10.15 am.
