Thursday 10 August
Lunchtime Concert at Maldon United Reform Church - from 1pm
Pianist Tim Smith will play pieces by Beethoven, Chopin Nocturnes, Brahms and Debussy Preludes.
Churches Together in Maldon organises a popular series of lunchtime concerts set in the spacious Maldon United Reformed Church.
The church opens at 12.30pm with hot drinks and light refreshments available to purchase, or you are very welcome to bring your own lunch. Concerts start at 1pm and last just under an hour, so they can be safely enjoyed during your work lunch hour.
Concerts are free, but donations go towards the musicians' fees and expenses.
Teddy Bear's Picnic at The Museum of Power, Langford - from 3pm
The Crafty Cabin at the Museum of Power is organising children's activities on Thursdays 10 and 24 August.
Bring along your favourite friend and enjoy a Teddy Bear's picnic with other families - including outside games, a scavenger hunt and the opportunity to make your own musical instrument.
Tickets include access to Astaria Fairy Model Village and a ride on the Miniature Railway.
Bring along your own blankets, chairs and picnic - or order a packed lunch for £4.50 from the Crafty Cabin when booking.
Friday 11 August
Barbie Roller Disco at SK8TERS, Madison Heights, Maldon - from 7pm
Enjoy a special Barbie themed Roller Disco at Sk8ters rink at Madison Heights.
If you come dressed in pink or Barbie and Ken-themed clothes, you even get a discount on the entry fee. Great music and fun Barbie games for everyone to enjoy.

Saturday 12 August
RNLI Burnham-on-Crouch Lifeboat Station Open Day - from 10am
See the lifeboats, meet and dunk the crew at Burnham-On-Crouch RNLI Lifeboat Station.
Entry is free and activities include:
- Exercises and demonstrations
- Kids Games, Treasure Hunt & Souvenirs
- Tea, Coffee, Cake & Sweet Stand
- Local Stallholders, including various local artwork & Kids Toys and Games.
Family picnic area and sheltered seating available.
Saturday Storytime and Crafts at Maldon Library - from 10am
Maldon Library hosts a monthly storytelling and activity morning for ages 3 plus.
Each session will have a fun theme with an interactive story and linked craft activity. No need to book, just come along and join the fun. In partnership with Adult Community Learning.
'Get Your Wellies Out' Musical Festival, Latchingdon - from 11am
'Get Your Wellies Out' Music Festival will feature eleven hours of live music, with tribute bands from all over Essex.
Headlining band is Beautiful Dangerous, featuring rock music from such as Bon Jovi, Guns 'n' Roses, Iron Maiden, Queen and more. Other artists include The Sunrayz rock n roll band, Happy Dog, The Mint mod and ska band, Back to the 80's, Abacus rock covers band, and 90's Reloaded.
Sunday 13 August
Outdoor Antique & Vintage Market at the Museum of Power, Langford - from 8am
An Outdoor Antique & Vintage Market will be held on the Museum of Power's events field this Sunday (August 13).
Gates open at 8am for early trade. The event will close at 3pm.
Entrance for adults and children over 15 years costs £3. Free entry for children under 15.
The Miniature Railway and Astaria Model Village will be open. An extra charge applies for the Miniature Railway, of £2 per adult, £1 per child (3-15) and free for children under 2 years.
Due to ongoing renovations at the museum, activities will take place in the Marquee and on the grounds. There may also be some disruption to the Steam Café but refreshments will still be available on site.
Burnham Kite Festival at Riverside Park - from 12 noon
Burnham-on-Crouch Town Council is hosting a free Kite Festival on Sunday 13 August from midday at Riverside Park.
The event is aimed at young children and families, though there will be a professional display by experienced kite-fliers.
People are encouraged to bring their own kites, but no big stunt kites. There will be a competition, with prizes, for the best kite made out of recycled materials and there will be free kits for children to colour in and fly, with paints and pens available to decorate them on the day.
Bring a picnic or stalls will be available for refreshments.
Mayland Boot Sale at Lawling Playing Field - from 12 noon
Throughout the summer, there will be a late-risers boot sale on every second Sunday of the month, raising money for the Henry Samuel Hall restoration fund.
Sell your unwanted items, or pay a visit and pick up a boot fair bargain. Entry for sellers' cars costs £7, vans £10, buyers 50p per adult.
Sellers can set up from 11.30am. Buyers arrive from 12 noon.
