Every Thursday we will bring you our top picks of the events in our What's On section for the coming weekend.

And don't forget, if your business or organisation is running an event, you can advertise it for free with Burnham and Dengie Nub News.

Here are our top picks for what to do in Burnham-on-Crouch and the Dengie in the coming days:

1. Enjoy a classic movie under the stars

Come down to the Parlour Café, on Ferry Road in Burnham, for a drive-in movie night!

Pick between either ET, which will be shown at 6.15pm, or Jurassic Park, at 9.30pm.

All that's left to do is prepare the snacks - or let the café do this for you - and get cosy in your car

Head over to Eventbrite to book your ticket here.

Have the UB40 experience

Come down to Burnham Village Hall, at 2 Arcadia Road, to enjoy live music played by a UB40 tribute band this Saturday (23 October).

There will also be reggae and ska by DJ Dan, alongside a mobile bar and food.

Tickets cost £20 per person and no children under 16 are allowed.

This will be a sold-out event - get your tickets fast here.

Read more about the event here.

3. Catch Stow Maries' living history company onsite for the last time this season

Sunday (24 October) will be your last chance to see Stow Maries Great War Aerodrome's residential living history company - The Nimy Company Living History Group - onsite this season.

The group will be staging a live demo - weather permitting - at 2pm to allow attendees to immerse themselves in the life and times of the British Army between 1914 and 1918.

Come along, say hello, fire as many questions at the company as you want and even try the kit out!

You can find Stow Maries on Hackmans Lane in Purleigh.
