Both the play areas at Maldon Prom are open again following the easing of lockdown restrictions today (Monday, 29 March).

The re-opening was announced in a statement on the Promenade Park Facebook page this morning.

It reads: "We are pleased to announce that both of the play areas in Promenade Park are open again from today!

"Following the latest relaxation of national coronavirus restrictions, we are pleased to say that we have reopened the play areas for use.

"In the last couple of days our team has been checking the play equipment to make sure they are ready to go for little ones to enjoy!

"As always, please stay safe and enjoy your visit!"

The play areas were closed on 15 January as a result of the third national lockdown and at the peak of Covid-19 infection rates in the district.
