Picture special: New images taken at Blue House Farm Nature Reserve in North Fambridge

ESSEX wildlife photographer Nick Lay has shared these latest images beautiful images taken at Blue House Farm Nature Reserve - on the north bank of the River Crouch at North Fambridge.

Nick - who is a keen birdwatcher and photographer - is a frequent visitor at the reserve, managed by Essex Wildlife Trust, which is home to a large number of different bird species, as well as other wildlife. Here he has captured a young kestrel at the site as well as some close-ups of an amazing wasp spider.

The farm and nature reserve in Fambridge Road covers 242.8 and most of the site is in of the Crouch and Roach Estuaries Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI).
