Plans for the comeback of the Burnham Festive Fayre have been unveiled by organisers, after the popular event was cancelled last year due to the pandemic.

The event is set to take place on Saturday 4 December, from 3pm until 7pm, on Burnham-on-Crouch High Street.

A spokesperson said: "We have lots of stalls, festive food and drink, fair rides and performances from Epic Dance, Serena Grant, Loula Panayi and the newly-formed Every Voice Choir.

"We are also hoping that some of the cosplayers and pirates that attended the carnival will also make an appearance.

"Planning is still ongoing but it should be a great event."

The High Street will close from around 9am until 9pm between Chapel Road and Riverside Road on 4 December to allow for the fayre.

The spokesperson said: "The event doesn't start until 3pm, but fair rides, a marquee, stage and more will be arriving by 10.30am so it's all set up for stallholders to start arriving later in the day."

They added: "If, for any reason, cars are left there after 9.30am, you may not be able to get them out until 9pm."
