Below we have details of two fantastic new local career opportunities. These are fantastic new community-building careers waiting for the right candidates with a Maldon district-based charity.

Community Development Officer:

Maldon District Community Voluntary Service is looking for a full-time Community Development Officer to join the team.

This is a great opportunity to play a role in supporting communities across Maldon district to build on the community cohesion, partnerships and volunteering that came to the fore during the coronavirus pandemic.

The post holder will take a lead on continued support to people who are vulnerable or in crisis working with and facilitating a network of partners from a range of sectors and local people. They will build on opportunities to create new ways of connecting and promoting wellbeing, work with communities with an asset based approach and develop projects to address needs in the community.

Applications must be submitted by 5pm on 30 April.

Volunteer Support and Communications Officer:

Maldon and District CVS are looking for a part time (15 hours per week) Volunteer Support and Communications officer. The post holder will take a lead in the management of the Volunteer Centre including driving forward steps to create a more online and digital experience for both volunteers and volunteer involving organisations. They will be responsible for promoting volunteer roles and volunteering experiences on a range of media including websites, social media and in print.

Deadline for applications is 5pm on 7 May.
