A new boutique opening on the High Street in Burnham-on-Crouch this year is aiming to cater for all women.

Owner Kalitsa Elia is currently in the process of decorating Sofia's Boutique in preparation for its opening, which she hopes will be in September.

She said: "We're a small women's boutique that sells clothes which will cater for all sizes."

The boutique will also sell shoes and accessories such as bags, belts and jewellery.

Kalitsa hopes that her shop will improve the offering of women's clothes in Burnham-on-Crouch.

She said: "There isn't anything available like a boutique for all women's sizes and I think most people want something like that."

Kalitsa has seen this desire in the positive response she has received so far from residents. She said: "People seem happy that there's going to be a clothes shop and they're asking if we're going to cater for plus sizes and do underwear and stuff like that.

"So I will try to meet everyone's needs and please everyone."

Kalitsa seized the opportunity to set up the shop after seeing a vacancy on the High Street.

She said: "My husband and I were just passing through Burnham and we saw a sign on the shop saying that it was up for rent, and we thought that we'd take that opportunity."

She added: "I hope everyone likes it and comes and shops here."

Sofia's Boutique is located opposite the Ship Inn on the High Street.
