A Maldon guest house and a local radio station will star in a Channel 4 show this Friday at 6pm.

This week, The Limes Guest House is featuring in Four in a Bed, which follows four sets of B&B owners as they open their doors and compete to be the best. Owners Enzo and Giovanni will appear in four successive episodes, getting to flex their hosting skills on Friday.

The Limes Guest House is attached to their popular Italian Restaurant, Luigi's Al Fresco. The team announced their appearance via The Limes Instagram page.

They said: "Join us as we open the doors to The Limes & Luigi's and compete to be crowned the best hosts!"

Friday's episode will also feature an appearance by Radio Caroline's Ross Revenge ship. It will star as the entertainment provided for the group during their stay in Maldon. Guests will tour the iconic ship.

Monday's episode included Enzo and Giovanni visiting B&B owner Keith's Chichester guest house, before trying their hand at some paddle boarding on the private lake. The entertainment provided for the group during their stay in Maldon will include a visit and tour of Radio Caroline's Ross Revenge, a historic offshore radio ship.

Channel 4's Four in a Bed has been running since 2010, with this being its 18th season. The show's 1,000th episode recently aired on September 29.

Each episode runs for 30 minutes, and includes an overnight stay, breakfast and activity with a host. At the end of each episode, the other B&B owners rate their stay based on the quality of hosting, cleanliness, facilities, sleep, breakfast and entertainment. They then state whether they would stay there again. The guests also pay an amount of money based on their perceived value of the B&B, which is revealed during the final episode.

Monday's episode ended with a slightly agitated Keith, as he guessed Enzo and Giovanni were the duo to have left negative feedback on his farm house. As tensions rise, many are sure to tune in.
