Mrs Salisbury's Famous Tea Rooms in Maldon High Street, a local favourite for cream teas and cakes, is set to open a new location in Wickham Bishops.

Announcing the expansion in a statement, the owners said: "We'd like to express our gratitude to you, our lovely, loyal, and local customers who have helped turn this family run business into the success it is.

"We currently employee over 40 members of staff from the local area, use a number of local suppliers and always aim to support local charities.

"So, your continued support with us also has a positive knock-on effect in the local area.

"Thank you for supporting local and we hope to see you in Wickham Bishops soon!"

Earlier this year, the team at Mrs Salisbury's raised £1,755 for local charities through their 'Meaningful May' campaign. They donated £5 from each afternoon tea sold during May.

The donations were divided between The Helen Rollason Cancer CharityThe David Randall Foundation and The Maldon Pioneers Association.

Mrs Salisbury's is now looking to hire people to work at their new location. For more information, and to apply, visit the Mrs Salisbury's website.
