Burnham-on-Crouch and the Dengie Peninsula are set for some coastal gales tomorrow (Friday, 30 July) as the Met Office has issued a weather warning for high winds.

The Met Office has issued the yellow warning for high winds through an area of the south east coastline, which includes Burnham-on-Crouch and the Dengie, just clipping Maldon on the map, from 6am until 6pm tomorrow.

A yellow warning means that disruption to travel is possible, especially on exposed routes.

The warning reads: "Windy conditions, including coastal gales for some, will develop across southern and southeastern England early on Friday, spreading into North Sea coastal areas during the late morning and afternoon.

"Gusts of 40 to 50 mph are expected quite widely with gusts of 55 mph or so likely in some of the most exposed coastal areas. Winds will then slowly ease from the west later on Friday."

More information on this weather warning can be found on the Met Office website using the link here.
