UPDATE: Looking for Armistice Day & Remembrance Sunday commemorations in 2022? Find all the information you need here.

Services are taking place to mark Armistice Day (Thursday, 11 November) and Remembrance Sunday (Sunday, 14 November) in Burnham-on-Crouch and the Dengie, and residents are being invited to attend to pay their respects to those who died during the two world wars.

The services will mark the centenary of the first Act of Remembrance, which took place across the district on 11 November 1921.

The Poppy Appeal - RBL's biggest fundraising campaign to raise money for the Armed Forces community - is also marking its centenary year this November, and is open to donations.

Members of the Burnham branch of the Royal British Legion (RBL) will be at the town's war memorial on Saturday 13 November between 9am and 4pm to receive donations to the appeal.

The Maldon Armed Forces and Veterans Club will be marching as a troop to represent veterans on Remembrance Sunday for the first time this year, and is encouraging veterans in the district to join - find out how to here.
