Maldon District Council is reminding visitors to Riverside Park and the Quay in Burnham-on-Crouch that dogs must be kept on a leash from today (Thursday, 1 April) until the end of September.

The three maps with this article shows the areas where the summertime Public Spaces Protection Order (PSPO) is in place at the popular walking spots.

A spokesperson for Maldon District Council said: "We have several Public Spaces Protection Orders in place that require dogs to be on a lead at all times from April 1 - September 30. This includes Riverside Park, areas of Burnham-on-Crouch and Promenade Park in Maldon."
