Burnham-on-Crouch RNLI volunteers rescued 2 people onboard a broken down motor boat yesterday evening (Monday, 26 July).
The people onboard the motor boat were attempting to make their way back but the boat was running low on fuel and they were struggling to make headway against the outgoing tide.
The Atlantic Class lifeboat 'Tony & Robert Britt' was launched and arrived on the scene within minutes.
The boat was quickly and successfully towed into Essex Marina.
An RNLI spokesperson said: "Upon arrival and grateful for the assistance provided by the Burnham-on-Crouch RNLI volunteers, the casualties made a generous donation that was gratefully received."
