Maldon High Street businesses are among those being encouraged to attend the first countywide business summit in Essex, which will take place next month.

The Essex County Council (ECC) High Street Business Summit will be held at Hylands House, in Chelmsford, on Wednesday 24 November from 10am to 4pm.

The meeting will enable businesses to share their experiences, express concerns and gain valuable knowledge from an expert panel of speakers.

A spokesperson for ECC said: "The summit is the first of its kind for the council and is set to be a pivotal event for businesses, covering a wide range of topics aimed at helping our high streets and town centres recover and build back better, in the wake of the pandemic."

Alongside a conference with a range of speakers, there will also be breakout sessions, panel discussions and the chance to network.

Those who are unable to attend in person will be able to view the summit remotely.

Attendees will include a variety of industry experts, including retailers, private investors, members of the hospitality and leisure sector and politicians.

The panel of guest speakers will include members of ECC's cabinet and senior officers.

You can book your free place at the summit here.

In person tickets will be in high demand, and on a first booking basis.

If you are unable to attend in person, the online booking form has the option to register for a virtual link.
