Burnham man arrested on suspicion of drink driving following collision

A 26-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of drink-driving following a collision in Burnham-On-Crouch this morning (May 29).

Two vehicles collided on Burnham Road at around 5am. Police closed the road, but have confirmed it reopened as of around 8.24am this morning.

A spokesperson for Essex Police told Nub News: "We arrested a man from Burnham-on-Crouch, on suspicion of driving under the influence of excess alcohol.

"He remains in custody for questioning."

Last week, a motorcyclist was taken to Broomfield Hospital following a road traffic collision near the Co-op in Foundry Lane, Burnham-On-Crouch.
