A church in Burnham-on-Crouch is celebrating the town's Harvest Festival this weekend with special displays.

A number of organisations from Burnham have helped decorate the windows of St Mary's Church, on Church Road, to aid its festivities - these include the Burnham Music Group, RNLI, Royal British Legion, St Mary's School and the Burnham Coastal Rowing Club.

In addition to the special displays, the church is holding its annual Harvest Songs of Praise service to celebrate the festival tomorrow (Sunday, 10 October).

The organisations have chosen a favourite hymn which will be sung during Sunday's service, which will begin at 10am.

Jeremy Cousins, the church warden at St Mary's, said: "Everyone is welcome to visit the church to view the displays and attend the Songs of Praise.

"There is also a collection of items for the Dengie Food Bank over the weekend - goods can be dropped off when the church is open."

The church is open from 9am to 5pm every day.

The displays will remain in the church until Monday (11 October).
