Burnham Art Club is set to hold its 57th annual exhibition of paintings next weekend, where residents will be able to buy or browse local scenes painted by local painters.

Sue Spiers, a member of the club, said: "There will be a lively and interesting collection of paintings by the talented members of Burnham Art Club, many of whom take part in Burnham Art Trail, in a variety of media and subjects.

"These include marine scenes, still life, local scenes and much more."

The annual art trail in Burnham-on-Crouch took place in June of this year.

Artists displayed a range of works, including fine art paintings, sculptures, photography and jewellery all within walking distance along venues from the Burnham-on-Crouch Museum to Daisy Roots.

The art club exhibition will be held on the ground floor of Burnham-on-Crouch Museum, which can be accessed from Coronation Road, from Saturday 28 August to Sunday 5 September.

It will be open from 10am to 5pm on Saturday 28, Sunday 29 and Monday 30 August, and Saturday 4 and Sunday 5 September.

It will be open between 2pm and 5pm from Tuesday 31 August to Friday 3 September.

Paintings and cards will be available to buy - payment methods via cash or card will be accepted.

Admission is free and some Covid-19 restrictions may be in place.
