A £5 bargain bonanza is set to return to Maldon High Street next month, giving residents the chance to support independent businesses while enjoying a number of special offers.

Maldon is among towns across the country which will take part in the Totally Locally Fiver Fest in October, following the success of the campaign in June.

Shops put on special £5 offers over two weeks for the campaign, which encourages shoppers to spend their money on local businesses and highlights the importance of the High Street.

It is next set to take place between Saturday, 9 October and Saturday, 23 October.

Fiver Fest is run by Totally Locally, a grassroots high street movement which has been supporting independent businesses and encouraging people to shop locally since 2010.

Businesses can join for free.

The Maldon businesses set to take part in the campaign will be announced at a later date.
