In the following reader's letter, Maldon district historian Stephen Nunn makes an appeal in a bid to find any surviving veterans of RAF Bradwell Bay.

Dear Editor,

For the past 45 years plus, I have been researching the wartime story of our local aerodrome, RAF Bradwell Bay.

During that time I have been truly privileged to meet, correspond with and interview a number of ex-personnel – aircrew, ground crew and others associated with this important Night Fighter station on the marsh.

As time has gone by, those RAF veterans have gradually passed to the great airfield in the sky.

Under the circumstances, this is my last attempt at making contact with anyone who is still around and served at Bradwell.

If you are one of those survivors and willing to exchange an email or two with me, I would love to hear from you c/o: [email protected]

Many thanks,

Stephen P. Nunn
