Man arrested in connection with assault in Southminster pub: police appeal for witnesses

ESSEX Police have arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm following an assault at a Southminster pub on Sunday (20 June).

A 40-year-old was arrested yesterday morning (Tuesday 22 June).

The victim, a man in his 30s, was assaulted inside the Queens Head pub on Queen Street at around 9.35pm on Sunday.

He suffered four injuries to his head and is thought to have been struck with a glass.

The suspect left the location in a silver SUV in company with another man.

An Essex Police spokesperson said: "We are continuing to appeal for witnesses, so if you saw anything or have any CCTV, dash cam or doorbell footage we need you to contact us."
