Burnham-on-Crouch High Street has finally gained a women's clothing store thanks to the owners of a new boutique, which is now open to customers.

Sofia's Boutique, at 61A High Street, opened this month (Saturday 16 October) and is named after the daughter of owners Vas and Kalitsa Elia – Sofia Elia.

The store aims to offer residents a range of high-quality items at affordable prices.

It contains two rooms with racks of clothes including coats, jackets, blouses, dresses, lounge sets and jumpers, alongside shoes and accessories such as bags, belts and jewellery.

Vas wants the store to provide residents with what they have been missing.

He said: "There isn't another women's clothing shop on the High Street.

"You can sit and eat here all day, but there wasn't a women's retail store."

The store also aims to cater for all women.

Vas said: "We have a lot of one size clothing that fits all sizes, and clothing for all ages."

Vas and Kalitsa both pride themselves on the quality of their clothing, which is sourced from Paris.

"It has to be top quality, otherwise I won't entertain it," Vas said.

"We sell it all at affordable prices."

Customers can even enjoy a 10 per cent discount throughout the year, Vas added, which will continue so that "people can afford to buy their Christmas shopping".

And the store is launching its own £10 and £25 gift vouchers from next week in response to demand from customers.

Vas said: "There have been enquiries about vouchers already, from people not knowing what to buy their daughters and granddaughters as there's so much choice."

The couple are now busy putting the finishing touches to Sofia Boutique's new website, to allow customers to shop online.

There will also be an Instagram page for the store soon.

You can visit Sofia Boutique's Facebook page here, and its website here.
